Enjoy a unique view over the Warche Valley from Roche à la Falize

On the outskirts of Malmedy, in the small hamlet of Falize, lies an incredible rock formation that has become a must-see in the region.

Its name may mean nothing to you, however, the superb Roche à la Falize (Falize Bluff) is well worth the detour if you aren’t staying far away. With its 70-metre height (50 metres across), it is made of quartzite, a particularly hard rock, which has withstood erosion and the tests of time. You can’t get lost finding it because it’s barely 100 metres from the road. Perhaps you’ll need a little patience because photo lovers always jostle to take their picture there.  And we can see why! Here, your eyes feast on a superb landscape – the view over the Warche Valley is so stunning. It’s a wonderful, unique scenic overlook which is also a great stopping point on the beautiful panoramic walk that crosses it, which also takes you via the Warche Bluff and the lovely village of Bellevaux.
