Address :
Voie de l'Ardenne 62, 4053 Chaudfontaine, Belgique
Description

After a journey of over 60 years, descending to a depth of 1,600 metres where it reaches a temperature of up to 55 degrees, clear water surges forth - at a temperature near 37°C - at the heart of a village hidden in the midst of a wooded valley. You’ve reached Chaudfontaine...

Standing along the Vesdre river, Chaudfontaine has an exceptional, rocky sub-soil that purifies water and adds essential minerals. This creates a mineral water that bears the town's name and prodigious thermal spas to treat rheumatism. To take advantage of the latter, you'll have the chance to visit the enchanting and refined location of the Château des Thermes.

Hidden treasures in the hills

The Chaudfontaine region is also brimming with major tourist sites. These include the Chèvremont basilica which overlooks the Vesdre valley, or Roche-aux-Faucons, where another exceptional view awaits you. Are you looking for thrills? Visit Chaudfontaine fort, the starting point of adventure trails and other walks. To discover the course of a drop of water in a fun, educational and scientific way through interactive games, tactile screens and a musical fountain, head to the Source O Rama centre. You’ll also find the Art House dedicated to 20th century modern art from the Impressionists to Pop Art, Surrealism and abstract art, with works by the greatest artists: Toulouse-Lautrec, Degas, Miró, Picasso, Matisse or Warhol and Magritte.

Do you want more? Then, cross the threshold of the Bee Museum in Tilff where a large variety of beehives awaits - including two glass beehives to observe the work of the bees in action - and a video montage... All these activities will delight visitors to Chaudfontaine.
