Description

Welcome to the House of Metallurgy, a fascinating destination for groups of 10 or more people seeking an immersive experience in the world of forging and metallurgy! Dive into the captivating history of steelmaking in Liège, a city that played a crucial role in the development of this industry 400 years ago.

During your 30-minute visit, you will be guided through the heart of an old Walloon forge dating back to the 17th century and discover the secrets of iron.

For groups accompanied by children, the adventure continues with a self-guided reading of a story featuring Samuel and Karl the blacksmith. The children will have the opportunity to participate in fun activities that will lead them to find Karl's lost iron ore while learning more about the iron-making process.

For groups exclusively composed of adults, the guide will take you through the forge (30 minutes), and you can explore the other rooms of the museum independently, which hide unexpected elements of our industrial heritage.

From the curious child to the most knowledgeable steelworker, from the kindergarten teacher to the research student, visitors are often delighted with their visit to this museum. Join our partner for an adventure at the heart of industrial history!
